We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases and offer a wide variety of medical services.
Baby Immunisations
Our Practice Nurse, Paula Downey does all baby immunisations. She is available on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and appointments can be made on either of these days. If your baby is due their 6-8 week assessment, this is carried out by the GP. Please ask for a 20 min appointment and let reception know it is for their assessment.
Respiratory Clinic and COPD Clinic
Our Pharmacist Mrs Libby Kennedy runs clinics for respiratory and does asthma reviews etc. Appointments can be booked through reception if you would like to see Libby about either of these conditions.
Cervical Cytology
Smear tests are done by our Practice Nurse, Paula Downey. When phoning to book a test please ask for a double appointment.
Physiotherapy
We currently do not have a physiotherapy clinic, however you will be offered an appointment at either Hawick or the Borders General Hospital.
Podiatry
Podiatrists can provide a wide range of foot-care from routine care, nail surgery, diabetic care, biomechanical assessment and prescription of insoles and orthotics. They do not provide routine nail cutting services to otherwise healthy people. The podiatrists hold a clinic fortnightly at the Health Centre. You can make a self referral to Podiatry and a form can be collected at reception, or if you prefer you can download this form.
